Cuban Mechanic David Bordo’s garage is a time capsule of the political forces that shaped Cuba’s rich automotive history. American behemoths of the 50s give way to utilitarian Soviet-era cars of the 60s and 70s. As for David, he pimped out his Russian made 1970 Lada with a Fiat motor, racing stripes and a lot of Cuban heart. He took us for a ride.
