Hate Sports Movies? Check Out #MakeASportsMovieWorse
They're already bad enough, but social media took them down a peg anyway
Sports movies are terrible. Can you name a good one? Yeah, didn’t think so. Whether it’s a ham-fisted, overbaked melodrama, or a stale slapstick comedy targeted at tween boys, everyone loses when you watch a sports movie.
Still, Twitter thought it could help sports movies sink even lower with the #MakeASportsMovieWorse hashtag, which had almost 3,000 tweets by Thursday afternoon. The NFL Network’s Rich Eisen prompted the trending topic by asking for entries for his show.
