‘Fascism’ And ‘Bigot’ Top Dictionary Searches After Election

Fascism was the most looked up words on the dictionary website Merriam-Webster in the days following the election. Bigot, xenophobe, and misogyny also spiked significantly. Other popular words include racism, resurgence, and socialism. While we don’t know how many time each word was looked up or why interest in these words has spiked, it seems the presidential election may have done wonders for America’s vocabulary.
