It looks like the unveiling of the iPhone 7 made Apple fans temporarily trade one type of porn for another, according to new data from Pornhub.

On Wednesday, the tech giant held its much-anticipated yearly event, where it rolled out its latest iPhone — the headphone jack-free 7 — as well as various new software upgrades, bells and whistles. Typically, iOS devices drive more than 35 percent of the daily traffic to adult site Pornhub. But in the hours leading up to Apple’s live announcement event, iPhone and iPad traffic dropped as much as 9.5 percent. After the event ended, though, iOS traffic surged to more than 4 percent above average — suggesting that some would-be human porn viewers opted to watch gadget porn instead.

Pornhub found a similar phenomenon with Safari traffic, which dropped by 8.8 percent ahead of the show. After the event, it increased by as much as 6 percent above average.

This isn’t too surprising, given that the event was only watchable through Apple and Windows 10 devices. But, c’mon, whatever happened to a little multiple-tab multitasking?
