NASA’s been pretty busy lately. In addition to heading on its first mission to an asteroid, the agency recently set a launch date for its next mission to Mars.

In May 2018, the InSight lander will be launched from earth, hurtling through space until it reaches the Red Planet that November. Once it’s there, it will drill deep into the planet’s surface, collecting temperature and activity data.
