The EU’s highest court has struck down the Safe Harbor privacy agreement which allows companies such as Apple and Facebook store the personal information of Europeans on U.S. servers. But this attempt by the European Court of Justice to protect the personal privacy of its citizens could actually hurt their privacy in the short term.
