Russia Just Had Its Largest Naval Day Parade Ever

Russian President Vladimir Putin just showed the world his strength with the largest naval parade in his nation’s history.

Close to 50 vessels were on display in St. Petersburg, including the world’s largest nuclear-powered submarine.

Russia also held a naval parade abroad for the first time…in Syria. This show of force abroad comes amid rising tensions between Russia and the U.S. regarding the Middle East.

After the parade, Putin forced the U.S. to remove 755 American diplomatic staffers from Russian territory in response to new sanctions levied against Russia. Putin stated that Russia is prepared if tensions escalate.
