This Floating Wall Could Empty Ocean Garbage Patches
We’re gonna build the wall, and it’s gonna be beautiful. Terrific. A terrific, beautiful wall. That, I will tell you. Folks.
This 328-foot floating wall isn’t something dreamed up by a xenophobic billionaire with big dreams; it’s a project of the Ocean Cleanup Foundation. The aim of the project is to essentially lasso big patches of floating ocean garbage so that it can be collected and removed.
Critics of the project fear the barrier could attract predators and alter the delicate balance of sea life, but proponents believe it could one day help clean up the biggest ocean garbage patch on earth.
