  • Not to overly defend the city, but the water-utility has $90,000,000.00 in unpaid bills.  Roughly half of all residential users have never paid a water bill.  The rates may be bogus, and the idea of charging for water may be bogus, but that still leaves the half that HAVE paid their bills paying the way for everyone.  Somehow, that just ain’t right.  Even if it is the new model for Amerika.

    • Dude where do you not have to pay for water? You said the rates may be bogus, and the idea of charging for water may be bogus  The only time I didn’t have to pay for water was in rentals where the landlord paid for it.  Are you telling me that in some cities/counties water is free?

      • They spoke of a “right to water” in the mini doc….please show me where this right is guarenteed

      • Yeah – where is the water free? In the river.  That is where.  Oh, you say that water is unsanitary and potentially harmful to your health?  Well isn’t it convenient that there is a huge water treatment plant that services the Ccity’s resident’s water needs.  Where did that plant come from? Well it certainly wasnt free.  The water bills these residents are *not* paying is NOT for the water, it is to pay for the infrastructure required to delivery sanitary water to their faucets… If you dont want to pay for that service, you need to head down to the river with a bucket.
