The Government Made A Giant Slingshot For Military Drones

DARPA’s SideArm project is a portable system that launches and captures military drones allowing them to take off and land almost anywhere. Aurora Flight Sciences recently conducted tests, successfully capturing Lockheed Martin’s 400 pound Fury UAS multiple times. SideArm fits in a 20-foot shipping container, and can be set up by two to four people.
