Donald Trump supporters are responding to an escalating wave of criticism against the Republican presidential candidate by pushing a narrative that accuses Bill Clinton of rape and abuse.

The response follows Trump’s attack on the former president, who is campaigning for Hillary Clinton in the race to the White House. In a statement Trump made on Saturday after a leaked tape from 2005 revealed offensive comments he made about women, Trump said: “Bill Clinton has actually abused women and Hillary has bullied, attacked, shamed and intimidated his victims.”

He also retweeted posts on Saturday by Juanita Broaddrick, who accused Bill Clinton of raping her in 1978—an allegation she also made in 1999 in a nationally televised broadcast. “Hillary calls Trump’s remarks ‘horrific’ while she lives with and protects a ‘Rapist,'” Broaddrick said on Saturday in a post retweeted by Trump. “Her actions are horrific.”

Vocativ discovered that a conversation about Bill Clinton was swelling over the weekend on Twitter. Since Friday, more than 266,000 tweets included mentions of Bill Clinton and the words “raped,” “rape” or “rapist,” and more than 112,000 posts included the hashtag . One of those tweets was posted by Roger Stone, who was a political advisor for the Trump campaign. He said “Bill Clinton raped and bit his victims” and shared a meme that said “rapist wants back in White House.”

“Mr. Trump dirty talk is still not rape. Bill Clinton is a rapist. He was impeached. She is a crook and a Killer!” one Twitter user commented on a post by Trump on Saturday. “Bill Clinton gets to rape people while Donald Trump just said some stupid locker room talk, therefore we all must vote for Donald Trump,” tweeted another Trump supporter.

Others took the conversation offline. “You’re a rapist!” someone yelled at Bill Clinton while he spoke at a campaign rally on Saturday in Wisconsin. Bill Clinton responded. “You gotta feel sorry for ’em, they had a bad day yesterday so they’re trying to make it up,” he told a crowd at the rally.

According to reports, Broaddrick’s claims that she was raped by Bill Clinton were never tested in criminal court. He has denied the allegations, The Independent reported.

Vocativ also discovered another discussion about rape—one that instead slammed Trump following his 2005 comments about groping women. More than 9,000 Twitter users since Friday mentioned Trump with Bill Cosby, who is awaiting trial on charges that he drugged and molested former Temple University employee Andrea Constand.

“Well, if we’ve all learned one thing today it’s that @Trump definitely has Bill Cosby’s vote,” one user tweeted. “Trump and Bill Cosby are taking a show on the road called: ‘Make America Rape Again,'” another posted. Other users called Trump’s wife, Melania, “the new Camille Cosby,” and said “Politicians need to drop Trump the same way entertainment people dropped Cosby.”
